Lucy in this example has tried to manage the conflict situation herself. Some students may find it difficult to approach a lecturer on their own. There is support available if you have conflict with you lecturer/tutor.

You might need assistance if:

• A conflict persists after you’ve had a conversation with a lecturer
• You feel your lecturer/tutor’s behaviour breaches university policy
• You would be uncomfortable approaching your lecturer personally about the issue
• You want to have a converstaion with your lecturer but would like some advice before you do so
